THERADOME AND BREASTCANCER.ORG ANNOUNCE NEW PARTNERSHIP FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

December 30, 2015

At Home FDA-Cleared Hair Restoration Device Launches Special Edition Pink Laser Helmet; Company Donates Thousands to Benefit Women with Breast Cancer

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 29, 2015— Theradome Inc., creator of the world’s most technologically advanced laser hair therapy helmet for home use, announces a new partnership with Breastcancer.org for October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Theradome Founder Tamim Hamid met with Vice President of Partnerships and Development for Breastcancer.org Rita Lusen yesterday to officially kick off their partnership and present a check for $5,000 to the nonprofit organization. With the launch of a special limited edition pink helmet, Breastcancer.org and Theradome Inc. will be working together to raise funds for breast cancer research and awareness. Theradome will donate a portion of all pink helmet proceeds to Breastcancer.org throughout the month of October.

“Knowing that many of the women benefitting from our convenient, at home device have undergone hair loss as a result of chemotherapy, it is important for us to give back to the breast cancer community and raise greater awareness on the issue,” says Hamid. “As a leading online resource for women with breast cancer, partnering with Breastcancer.org seems to be the perfect solution.”

Utilizing the concepts of Laser Phototherapy, also known as Low-Level Laser Light Therapy, the Theradome LH80 PRO stimulates hair follicles by improving the cellular metabolism and protein synthesis needed to build and maintain a healthy head of hair. Clinical studies report that most women wearing the device twice-a-week for 20 minutes see significant results in just 18 weeks.

“The fact the Theradome offers private treatments and can be used in the comfort and privacy of one’s home largely increases patient compliance and thus maximizes hair restoration results,” states Hamid.

Furthermore, clinical studies also point to the possibility that chemotherapy-induced hair loss could be prevented, reduced, and/or reversed by Laser Phototherapy through the same mechanisms that are clinically proven to reverse androgenetic alopecia.

Dr. Marissa Weiss, M.D., and President and Founder of Breastcancer.org, will be appearing on the Today Show on October 1 st in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“There are studies that show that for many women, losing their hair is worse than losing a breast” she says. “That’s because you can conceal the loss of a breast, but hair loss is so obvious and apparent.”

THERADOME LH80 PRO LASER HELMET LAUNCHES AT THE 23RD ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING OF INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF HAIR RESTORATION SURGERY

December 30, 2015

Theradome, Inc. Introduces the World’s First FDA-Cleared Wearable, Hair Restoration Helmet to Industry Leaders

LOS ANGELES—September 9, 2015— Theradome Inc., creator of the first FDA-cleared over-the-counter, wearable hair restoration device, will be introducing the Theradome LH80 PRO Laser Helmet at the 2015 Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) from September 9 to September 13 at the Hilton Chicago. Former NASA scientist and inventor of the Theradome Laser Helmet, Tamim Hamid, will be in attendance to discuss and educate participants on the benefits of Low-Level Laser Light Therapy (LLLT) for patients battling hair loss caused by androgenetic alopecia.

“The ISHRS Annual Scientific Meeting is such an important event for hair restoration surgeons and their teams,” says Hamid. “We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to introduce the Theradome LH80 PRO to the foremost experts in the field, and are anticipating an exceptional response.”

Using an optimal LLLT device, such as the Theradome, in conjunction with undergoing hair restoration surgery can boost the overall results of the procedure. This is due to the release of nitric oxide, which improves blood flow to hair follicle roots and increases the reduction rate of swelling, redness and inflammation after surgery.

The world’s most experienced hair restoration surgeons gather each year for the event, which is considered the “premier meeting in the field of hair restoration.” The conference includes various lectures, discussions, presentations, and courses on the subject.

This year, elite hair restoration expert Dr. Sara Wasserbauer, who is a major proponent of LLLT and the Theradome LH80 PRO Laser Helmet, will be leading the meeting’s Advanced/Board Review Course on September 9 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“The reason so many lauded physicians in the field have already become advocates of the Theradome LH80 PRO is simple: it allows patients to treat their hair loss symptoms in the comfort of their own homes in a manner which is completely safe and extremely effective,” says Hamid. “It is all about expanding our knowledge and network as hair restoration professionals. I’m very much looking forward to it.”

For more information on the event, please visit http://www.ishrs.org/AnnualMeeting.html.

THERADOME RECRUITS MEN WITH THINNING HAIR TO TEST OVER-THE-COUNTER LASER HELMET FOR HAIR RESTORATION

December 30, 2015

FDA-Cleared At Home Wearable Hair Restoration Device May Correct Androgenetic Alopecia in Men

Pleasanton, California. – August 25, 2015 – Theradome Inc., home to the first FDA-cleared and over-the-counter wearable hair restoration device for women, has begun one of the most comprehensive studies in Laser Phototherapy to date. The study will gauge the success of the Theradome LH80 PRO Laser Helmet on men with thinning hair or who are showing signs of balding. Northwest Dermatology in Portland, OR, MedaPhase LLC in Atlanta, GA, and the Tennessee Clinical Research Center in Nashville, TN, are recruiting men ages 18 to 50 that have been diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia to participate in a 26-week clinical trial study. Dr. Ken Washenik MD, Ph.D., a leading physician and clinical researcher in hair loss, is providing medical oversight for Theradome’s clinical study.

Developed by former NASA scientist Tamim Hamid, the Theradome Laser Helmet leverages Laser Phototherapy (also known as Low-Level Laser Light Therapy) to stimulate weak hair follicles by providing them with targeted laser energy, which improves cellular metabolism and protein synthesis required to grow and maintain a healthy head of hair.

“The positive response we’ve had to Theradome thus far has been absolutely overwhelming– not to mention very humbling,” says Hamid. “We are now diligently working to bring men those same benefits as seen in women using the device around the globe.”

Previously only available to dermatologists and specialized hair loss clinics, laser-based hair restoration therapy has since come a long way. Theradome’s LH80 PRO can be worn twice a week for 20 minutes in the comfort of an individual’s home, and most subjects have reported seeing results in only 18 weeks.

The double-blind, sham controlled, randomized and multi-centered study will test Theradome LH80 PRO’s ability to promote hair growth in men when compared to what is known as a “Sham Device”, a fake Laser Phototherapy unit worn by a control group unaware of the helmet’s authenticity.

FOX NEWS FEATURES THERADOME AS THE TAKE-HOME SOLUTION TO TACKLE BALDNESS

December 30, 2015

Former NASA Scientist Creates the First FDA-Cleared Hair Restoration Helmet

LOS ANGELES, CA – April 30, 2015 – Former NASA scientist Tamim Hamid was featured on FOX News online last week where he discussed Theradome™, the first portable and wearable OTC hair restoration device to be FDA-cleared. The FOX segment shows firsthand how, via laser technology, Theradome™ offers individuals a safe, effective and affordable hair loss solution that will not require surgery or medication.

“The laser light stimulates the mitochondria at the base of the hair follicle, which is where the stem cells that grow hair are located. Once the hair follicle is reactivated using light energy, the hair reverses the miniaturization process which was induced by the hormone DHT,” Hamid tells FOXNews.com.

The feature also follows Sabra Hardy, who for years struggled with significant hair loss caused by alopecia areata, a rare autoimmune disease. Theradome is already FDA-cleared for androgenetic alopecia, so more patients like Sabra are encouraging the company to conduct further clinical trials for her type of condition. After spending countless funds on ineffective hair restoration products and procedures, Hardy finally found a viable solution for regrowing her hair with Theradome™. By wearing the hair rejuvenation helmet for only 20 minutes, twice a week, Hardy was able to completely reverse the severe bald spots caused by her illness.

However, Hardy is not alone in her success. Clinical studies confirm 97 percent of Theradome™ users saw results after just 26 weeks of use. And it isn’t only the helmet’s “80 cold lasers” that are generating buzz; it is also its unique, wearable design, which allows users to stimulate hair growth while going about their day-to-day activities.

“It is completely portable,” explains Hamid. “You can wear it around the house or sit down and watch television.”

The FDA-cleared Theradome™ is available now over-the-counter at www.theradome.com .

THERADOME™ PARTNERS WITH AFFIRM TO OFFER LOW-COST HAIR RESTORATION PAYMENT PLANS

December 30, 2015

Theradome™ LH80 PRO Laser Helmet Now Available Using Split Pay to Offer Low-Financing, At-Home Hair Loss

PLEASANTON, CA – July 28, 2014 – Theradome®, manufacturer of the first and only FDA cleared, over-the-counter hair restoration device, Theradome® LH80 PRO laser helmet, announced today that their hair-loss treatment device is now available to consumers via a monthly payment plan. The company has partnered with Affirm, a new consumer finance service that offers the power of installment payments to consumers at the point of sale, through their Split Pay service. Using Split Pay, online shoppers can make a purchase and pay across multiple months with simple, clear financing fees at a fraction of credit card interest rates.

Our mission at Theradome® has always been to provide the safest and most effective hair restoration treatment that is convenient to use at an affordable price, says Tamim Hamid, founder and CEO of Theradome®. The availability of our product on Affirm is another step toward making Theradome® LH80 PRO more accessible and affordable to the public.

Theradome® LH80 PRO laser helmet, FDA cleared and launched last year, uses 80 proprietary lasers packaged into a wearable helmet that deliver Low Laser Light Therapy (LLLT). LLLT has demonstrated in many clinical trials to reduce hair loss, add volume, luster and length to hair and promote new hair growth. The device marks a major technological breakthrough in hair restoration because, unlike previously available forms of LLLT which required hefty payments and multiple visits to a clinic, consumers can conveniently use Theradome® LH80 PRO in the comfort of their home at a fraction of the costs of in-clinic treatments.

Availability of Theradome® LH80 PRO via Affirm has reduced consumer costs even further by reducing finance charges associated with credit card transactions. With Affirm, there are no exorbitant interest rates, convoluted terms in small type, or surprises. Instead, Affirm charges consumers fees as low as 6 percent depending on their payment history and dollar amount being financed. The finance fees are clearly built into every payment notice.

According to an Affirm spokesperson, We’re excited to work with Theradome®. The benefits they provide are incredibly important to customers, and we hope Affirm can help anyone interested get a Theradome® device for hair restoration treatment.

For those opting to use Affirm services, approvals are fast and simple. Affirm uses the power of big data to make better, faster financing decisions about shoppers at the point of purchase. The only information a first-time user provides is top-of-mind facts such as his/her name, mobile phone number, email address, the last four digits of a social security number and birth date. Once approved, there is no user name or password to remember for future use.

We’ve received many inquiries about payment plans from interested customers, says Hamid. The option to conveniently purchase Theradome® over time at costs much less than those associated with a credit card will allow more people to benefit from next-generation hair restoration therapy.

THERADOME™ LASER HELMET REACHES INDIEGOGO FUNDING GOAL IN FIRST 24 HOURS

December 30, 2015

Crowdfunding Campaign Substantiates Tremendous Need for First-Ever Clinical Strength Laser Technology Developed for At-Home Treatment of Hair Loss

PLEASANTON, Calif.– August 14, 2013– Theradome™, a medical device company focused on bringing clinical-strength technologies to the consumer market, captured mass audiences with the launch of its Theradome Laser Helmet through the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, reaching its funding goal in less than 24 hours and doubling the initial goal within five days of the campaign launch.

Theradome™ recently announced its FDA-clearance for the first clinical-strength home laser therapy device for women experiencing hair loss- a very emotional experience for females and, not surprisingly, something that most prefer to deal with in the privacy of their own home. Pledges for pre-orders of the Laser Helmet skyrocketed from women in the first 24 hours, who primarily ordered anonymously. Men, who make up more than one third of the pre-orders to date, have been inclined to be less concerned about anonymity when purchasing the hair loss and hair health product. Theradome™ is currently offering early adopters introductory pricing significantly below retail cost through the Indiegogo campaign.

‘Our first day out to market proved that there is obviously a significant demand for this at-home laser treatment. Being a need-based product, it is astonishing to see the response we received through crowdfunding but the substantial number of incoming requests are being clearly reflected through this platform’, stated Theradome founder/CEO, Tamim Hamid. Seeking a solution for his own hair loss at the early age of thirty-two, Tamim, a former NASA scientist with extensive biomedical engineering experience, developed the Laser Helmet not only because he wanted a more effective way to treat hair loss and avoid the use of medications, but also because he believed it was important to make clinical-strength laser technology available for personal use in the privacy of one’s home.

Low-Laser Light Therapy (LLLT) has been an effective treatment for growing hair and improving hair health for decades. Extensive research has addressed the efficacy of LLLT but, until now, true cold laser therapy was only available through costly visits to a hair restoration clinic. Theradome uses specially developed, high efficiency lasers that produce virtually no heat but still allow the maximum amount of therapeutic light to be delivered. Additionally, the Laser Helmet can be used in conjunction with other hair restoration therapies and as a post-chemotherapy hair loss treatment.

Also effective as a beauty regime for women simply wanting fuller and healthier hair, the Laser Helmet is proven to provide cleaner and more manageable hair with improved body and luster within two to three months of twice weekly, twenty-minute treatments. In addition to decreased oiliness and generating larger hair shafts, users experience a noticeable difference with substantially less hair found fallen out in the shower or on pillows. After twenty-six treatments, users have thicker and longer hair with a healthier scalp. After fifty-two treatments, the hairs on the vertex, hairline and temple area start filling in- resulting in fuller, thicker hair with continued use.

Key Theradome™ features.

  • The world’s most powerful in-home solution to treat hair loss.
  • Produces results with just two 20-minute treatments each week.
  • Utilizes 80 proprietary lasers to generate over 440 joules and treats the full scalp area.
  • Delivers the optimum wavelength of light for hair growth (678 nanometers).
  • Hands-free operation allows the user to carry out other tasks during the therapy.

Key Theradome™ clinical trial results.

Proven to grow hair in 98 percent of users.

Hair thickness, volume and density increased by 200% within six weeks.

THERADOME™, INC. ANNOUNCES FDA CLEARANCE AND LAUNCH OF CLINICAL STRENGTH LASER HAIR THERAPY DEVICE FOR HOME HAIR GROWTH.

December 30, 2015

New FDA Cleared Solution for Hair Loss Targets Women with a Clinical Strength Laser Treatment To Promote Hair Growth and Thicker Hair

August 6, 2013 (Silicon Valley, CA)– Theradome™, a medical device company focused on bringing clinical-strength technologies to the consumer market, announces the release of its LH80 laser helmet to treat hair loss. This system, recently cleared by the FDA, was designed by world leading experts in hair loss, dermatological health, and biomedical engineering. The system offers clinical strength hair growth therapy, previously found only in hair restoration clinics, in the comfort of one’s own home for a fraction of the usual cost.

  • Theradome is the first and only FDA Over-The-Counter cleared wearable laser treatment for use in the home.
  • Theradome offers clinical results without the clinical price tag.
  • Theradome is taking specially discounted advance orders via Indiegogo.com.

Tamim Hamid, founder and CEO of Theradome, has personal experience with hair loss.’I had struggled with hair loss since I was thirty-two years old,’ he says. ‘I come from a family of physicians, I tried all the latest prescription drugs, but none of them worked for me. As a NASA scientist and with my doctoral work in biomedical engineering, I knew there had to be a better solution. So I began working on a way to get rid of my medications and effectively regain my hair.’

The Theradome™ will initially be available on Indiegogo for a low introductory price. Theradome™ is also actively pursuing additional distribution channels to bring the device to every market across the globe.

In the United States, roughly 80 million people suffer from hair loss due to androgenetic alopecia, including approximately 40 million women. Traditionally, therapies for meaningful female hair growth have only been available in clinical settings and typically cost thousands of dollars. Less expensive, non-clinical options deliver much less therapeutic light (typically under 5 percent of a clinical option) than clinical devices and in most cases have not been cleared by the FDA. The Theradome™ brings clinical strength hair restoration therapy to the home at a fraction of the price, and it has been cleared for both safety and efficacy by the FDA.

Sara Wasserbauer, M.D. and head surgeon at California Hair Restoration explains some key characteristics of a home use laser hair therapy device, ‘My advice to patients is to look for a device that is a laser, not an LED. Patients should also look for a device that is easy to use, like one that has hands free operation and a wavelength in the 670 nm range. This might seem like a technical detail, but according to the most recent scientific studies lasers in this wavelength are the ones that have proven effectiveness.’ The Theradome™ has all these essential features and more.

Key Theradome™ features include:

  • The world’s most powerful in-home solution to treat hair loss.
  • Produces results with just two 20 minute treatments each week.
  • Utilizes 80 proprietary lasers to generate over 440 joules and treats the full scalp area.
  • Delivers the optimum wavelength of light for hair growth (678 nanometers).
  • Hands-free operation allows the user to carry out other tasks during the therapy.

Key Theradome™ clinical trial results include:

  • Proven to grow hair in 98 percent of users.
  • Hair thickness, volume and density increased by 200% within six weeks.

Ms. Ghazal Gill, Miss Millennium 2013 and an early user of the Theradome™, has experienced the full benefit of the therapy, ‘With my crazy beauty-pageant contestant lifestyle my hair had begun to fall out and had thinned, which wasn’t helping my career. I knew I had to do something about it and do it fast. When this opportunity came along I found it was easy to use the Theradome™, and I got astonishing results. My confidence is back, I have a full head of long hair and I don’t need extensions.’
