Lasers vs LEDs, What’s the difference?

lasers vs leds

Theradome’s 680nm medical grade lasers penetrate deep into the hair follicles in order to regrow and strengthen your hair. Red light therapy (LEDs) are too weak and don’t properly penetrate into the hair follicles.

LEDs are not lasers. Lasers are monochromatic which means they have a single color wavelength. LEDs are inexpensive and easy to make and can be often be seen in electronic equipment as an ON and OFF indicator. Lasers meet scientific standards and achieve results that LEDs could never achieve LED light spreads out and doesn’t have the narrow focus and follicle penetration that lasers do.

Many laser devices unfortunately add LEDs mixed with medical grade lasers to be able to claim more overall lights, however, the quality of lasers are more important than the quantity of them. Here is a blog article with even more information https://www.theradome.com/lasers-vs-leds

4 ways to maximize the battery life of your Theradome device

This week on the blog we want to answer a question we’ve been asked a lot lately – “What is the best way to charge and maintain the Theradome device’s battery and maximize its battery life?”

The Theradome device is a truly life-changing device, restoring not just your hair, but also your confidence, so you want to take excellent care of it. And that includes caring for its battery!

In this post, we’ll explain what type of battery the Theradome device uses and a few simple tips to help maximize its battery life for as long as possible.

What Type of Battery Does the Theradome Device Use?

The Theradome device uses a lithium ion battery. These types of batteries are also commonly used in laptops, smartphones, and fitness trackers. Lithium ion batteries are the go-to choice in high-end electronics because they can contain significantly more power, which means your devices stay charged for longer.

However, they do require a bit of special care in order to ensure they last as long as possible with optimal efficiency.

If you take proper care of your Theradome’s battery, you can expect it to last up to 400 charges for a duration of 3 years, with one charge lasting 3 to 9 treatments.

4 Simple Tips to Take Care of Your Theradome Device’s Battery

1. Keep it Cool

Keeping your device ’s battery cool allows it to charge more fully for longer. In fact, heat plays the biggest role in the lifespan of lithium ion batteries. The battery in your hair-restoring Theradome helmet will last longest when stored in temperatures between 68°F and 77°F. That’s why we recommend using and storing your Theradome helmet in a cool environment.

2. Allow Your Device to Fully Charge Between Sessions

Some devices require you to meticulously track your battery charge level to keep them in a very narrow range of 40-80% in order to avoid overcharging, malfunctions, or even explosions.

Theradome’s battery is optimally designed for maximum safety and convenience. We’ve taken out all of the guesswork for you! We specially designed the circuitry to prevent overcharging, so it does not require any special care or hassle on your part.

Simply put your laser hair growth device on the charger after each session and allow it to charge until the master switch is green for at least 10 seconds. Once the battery in your Theradome device is fully charged, the smart charger turns off automatically. There is absolutely no risk of overcharging, so you can leave it on the charger until you’re ready for your next session. This type of charger is just like the charger used to charge your smartphone.

3. Allow the Battery to Fully Discharge Once a Month

Lithium ion batteries are “smart” batteries, meaning they have the ability to tell you how much battery life is remaining. This is what informs the low battery warning in Theradome devices.

However, it is important for your battery to fully discharge occasionally in order for this to remain accurate and for the low battery warning system to function properly. That’s why it’s recommended that you allow the battery in your Theradome device to fully discharge once a month.

4. Only Use the Theradome Battery & Charger

As with all components of the Theradome device, we have carefully selected and vetted the lithium ion batteries and chargers used in our products to ensure their safety. In an attempt to cut costs, other manufacturers of lithium ion batteries and accessories have cut corners on insulation and safety precautions. These low-quality batteries and chargers carry a higher risk for malfunctioning the device if not replaced by an official Theradome battery.

Theradome devices contain 3 temperature sensors and if the device becomes too hot for any reason it will immediately shut down for your safety. Our devices are the only laser hair therapy devices with this feature because ours are the only ones that run on microprocessors.

Then, follow the easy instructions in this video to replace your battery when the new one arrives. We hope you found these tips helpful and that you put them into practice!

Make your portraits pop with healthy hair and the Theradome PRO

Spring is a time when families will get new portraits. Whether it’s the lingering light at the end of the day following the time change, or the rare opportunity to have extended family around for holidays – this time of year is always a good opportunity to get a new portrait.

For people with thin, lanky or even balding hair, this can be a source of anxiety. They sometimes try any of a hundred different remedies to make their hair look as healthy as possible for the big picture day.

Some will try to swap shampoo on the day before the big shoot. And though some hair products do work to strengthen and repair hair, it’s a temporary solution. And why would you only want healthy hair for one day?

Healthy Hair, Every Day of the Year

Those who want to try to maintain healthy hair over a long period of time will make deep conditioning a habit. Sometimes they’ll even add in common, everyday hygiene practices – such as blasting their hair with cold water, drying their hair with a microfiber towel, or even something as simple as using a wide-tooth comb on wet hair.

These methods, though all mildly successful, don’t have near the lasting impact as using the Theradome LH80 PRO, a red light therapy helmet. By using Theradome for 20 minutes, twice a week, anybody can notice a shiny, full-bodied head of hair. Women all over the world, in particular, have been praising the results of using Theradome to give their hair a healthier, more vibrant look.

We’re so confident in the results you’ll see after using Theradome LH80 Pro that we encourage you to take before and after pictures of your hair and compare. Get close-ups of your scalp so that you can see how Theradome helps regenerate cell growth at the scalp level, thereby increasing the number of hairs per tuft and increasing the weight and full-bodied look.

Why Should Try Laser Hair Therapy?

Not only will this make for great Spring-time portraits, but it’ll help give you a vibrant, healthy look all year long. What’s more, use of the Theradome on a regular rotation of 20 minutes, twice a week, will also help with hair regeneration. That means those who are suffering from a receding hairline, bald spots, or early onset alopecia, can start to regrow hair by using the Theradome red light therapy helmet.

Theradome has been FDA cleared and has a proven track-record for tens of thousands of patients all over the world. It’s an affordable hair treatment solution that anyone can use in the comfort of their own homes.

How to protect your Spring hair!

Arrival of spring

The arrival of spring is almost always a welcome one. Warm weather, beautiful flowers, and green grass are just a few of the many things that tend to bring joy to us all.

But with spring comes a few things that give our hair a hassle – including humidity and windy days. On top of that, spring always brings new trends in clothing and hairstyles. Anyone suffering with hair loss or low hair density will tell you that it can sometimes be a period of anxiety.

Theradome LH80 PRO can help

Whether your hair is prone to flyaways or you fight with bald spots, Theradome can help give you a beautiful head of hair for these spring months.

Often times, women who want to adopt the latest hairstyles during the spring utilize gels and hairspray. It helps to keep their hair in the right spot during the windy spring months. This can often reveal bald spots or bare scalp where there’s low hair growth. But Theradome’s LH80 PRO helmet uses red light technology that helps encourage hair growth at the root level. By wearing the helmet for only 20 minutes a day, twice a week, women can feel confident in styling their hair. They won’t have to fear exposing bald spots. So don’t worry, ladies, braids and “The High Pony” – which is one of spring’s hottest hairstyles – will look great on you with a little help from the LH80 PRO.

“The High Pony” isn’t the only hot hairstyle though. Other trendy hairstyles include super sleek to flat waves and from the grown-out shag to slick and shiny. Many of spring’s hair trends will require women to bust out flat irons or curlers. While these tools can be useful to deal with frizz, they can also be harmful to your hair. Hair gels and mousse that contain polymers and copolymers can help keep your hair healthy when using these tools. But the Theradome LH80 PRO is an even better hair regrowth treatment.

How does the Theradome LH80 PRO work?

Theradome’s helmet works by providing light energy to hair cells that have been cut off from the body’s blood supply. It also provides necessary nutrients to make it vibrant and healthy. By creating a new photonic pathway, these damaged cells can then benefit from the helmet’s revitalizing laser energy.

Theradome’s helmet is completely wireless, convenient to use at home, and a great investment. It has a nearly 100 percent reliability rate. So if you’re ready to try out that new hairstyle, do so with confidence and let Theradome join you on your journey during this season of regrowth.
