Theradome’s success rate with hair regrowth

Our Theradome helmets have a 98% success rate. The 2% that did not experience any benefits consisted of patients with advanced hair loss. Patients with advanced hair loss do not experience any hair loss or shedding. For males, their scalps may be “slick bald,” meaning most of their hairs on their scalp are no longer active and growing. Females do not experience “slick bald” like men, but may experience advanced hair loss in the middle of their hairline, which after 15 years is very difficult to recover.

We also have not tested on patients suffering from an underlying medical condition like thyroid disease or if they are under medications that cause hair loss. We recommend you consult with your physician prior to starting treatment with our device if you have a medical condition or under medications that cause hair loss.

Theradome’s technology is very effective in three areas:

1) Slowing down or stopping hair loss,

2) thickening existing hairs

3) regrowing or promoting new hair growth.

Theradome is recommended in over 6,500 clinics globally.

Theradome 680 nanometer laser types including power output and wavelength

Theradome is the only company on the market that developed proprietary lasers that deliver 680 nanometers. Our lasers are the only lasers on the market that deliver 680 nm.

The Theradome PRO LH80 contains 80 proprietary lasers.  The Theradome EVO LH40 contains 40 proprietary lasers. 680 nanometers is the optimal wavelength for laser hair growth. Theradome lasers reach up to 5mm penetration into the scalp reaching and the base of hair follicles. Theradome’s strength increases blood flow to stop hair loss, thicken existing hair, and promote new hair growth.

Why is the treatment time 20 minutes long?

20 minutes is calculated based on fluency or stream of lasers delivered to the scalp. We based our calculations on years of research in order to reach nearly 7 joules/cm2. Our lasers are designed to produce this much fluency for a continuous 20 minutes. Any less would be inefficient and any more would result in over stimulation which can impede hair growth. Because of Theradome’s heat management system, we can deliver laser therapy without lasers pulsing and interrupting treatment.

Information on installing Theradome foam pads, foam inserts, Velcro sticks, Velcro pads to the helmet

First, make sure not to cover any of the lasers with the Velcro or foam pads. Follow these instructions to install:

Peel Velcro fasteners from the backing.
Affix Velcro to the inside of the helmet, with the sticky side adhering to the helmet and the Velcro facing out.
Connect foam pads to the Velcro.

Note: Placing the foam on the back of the helmet, over speaker holes will not interfere with audio transmission.

Theradome made in USA

We are the only laser hair growth company that “grows” our own lasers here in Silicon Valley, California. Our competitors buy their lasers from Asia and the only wavelength Asia makes is 650nm. Theradome operates at the proven wavelength for regrowing hair at 680nm. 680nm is optimal because the higher the wavelength, the deeper the penetration of red light to the papilla and the bulge, two areas which are crucial for hair growth.

Does Theradome cause shedding or thinning hair?

The Theradome has zero side effects and does not cause shedding. It has been tested extensively for FDA clearance: www.accessdata.fda.gov/cdrh_docs/pdf17/K171775.pdf. You can read our blog post here: www.theradome.com/does-laser-hair-therapy-cause-shedding/. It explains that laser hair therapy does not cause shedding and helps you understand the hair growth cycle.

Also, shedding normally occurs twice a year for humans and sometimes massive shedding is a cause of diet, a change in hormones, or an underlying medical condition. If you are using Minoxidil, that may be a reason for your shedding as that is one of their side effects.  Please see our blog on hair shedding:
