Scalp coverage of Theradome PRO and Theradome EVO

Theradome PRO focuses coverage on the center of scalp. 20% of lasers focus on both sides of the scalp 20% are dedicated for the back of the scalp. 40% for the center of the scalp 20% for the front of the scalp. EVO lasers are also focused on the center of the scalp. This is the laser configuration; 20% of lasers are dedicated for both sides of the scalp, 20% are dedicated for the back of the scalp. 40% for the center of the scalp 20% for the front of the scalp.

Both PRO and EVO lasers will scatter and absorb their laser beams towards the sides. Main considerations in design: Never overlap laser beams as this would provide too much dosage and would not be effective Lasers act like water faucet hitting a dry sponge. Lasers scatter after a few minutes and spread out Lasers need 20 minutes to maximize absorption and transmission, any less would not be effective and more is too much energy

Does Theradome emit ultraviolet light?

The Theradome does not contain any UV-A, UV-B, or UV-C light emitting from its RED light lasers.

Please note that UV spectrum is in the range of UVA, or near UV (315–400 nm), UVB, or middle UV (280–315 nm), UVC, or far UV (180–280 nm).

The Theradome helmets emit RED light between 680 (+/- 8 nm) so we are very far away from the UV light spectrum.

What is the Theradome’s Beam Divergence?

Our Theradome lasers have a beam divergence of 1.5 cm whereas other brands are 5.1 cm. This means our lasers have the narrowest beam divergence in the market to penetrate the deepest into your hair follicles and produce the most effective results. How does Theradome work?

Our hair follicles naturally go through three stages of regeneration; a growing phase, a resting phase, and an inactive stage. Theradome’s medical grade lasers stimulate resting phase follicles back into growing phase helping them to avoid the inactive phase.

Theradome is uniquely designed to restore health to the two most important parts of the hair follicle, the bulge and the papilla. The bulge contains stem cells that supply the hair follicle with new cells. The papilla is the part of hair follicles that contain blood vessels supplying nutrients to nourish growing hair. Once your bulge and papilla are restored to health, hair growth can begin.

Can I use Theradome every day?

The Theradome PRO is FDA cleared to use twice-a-week and the Theradome EVO to use 4x a week. We recommend following this regimen. However, we have had patients that use Theradome every day with absolutely no side effects and excellent results.

If you decide to go beyond the recommended usage, please allow 12 hours of rest in between each treatment for your mitochondria’s to rest. Our lasers activate the mitochondria in each hair cell. 20 minutes is enough for a 700% increase in ATP (fuel output of the each hair cell) production.

Using Theradome with colored or highlighted hair

You can use Theradome with colored hair. We recommend that you wait for at least 8-hours before using your Theadome after you color your hair, but only when your hair is dry. Also, hair stylists recommend that you do not wash your hair 48 hours after your hair is colored.

The reason why we recommend the helmet be used 8 hours after is because the hair will still be wet from the hair coloring treatment. Putting on the helmet beforehand can cause the hair color to stick to the inside of the helmet. This can cover up or obstruct the lasers that can become blocked by the hair coloring.

Also, our lasers accelerate the cuticles to close after a hair coloring treatment which results in much better results. This leads to less frizziness and longer-lasting color as cuticles close with photons instead of chemicals.
